Guaranteed 11-5 Wednesday to Sunday year-round, and sometimes more in the summer. We stay open on Fridays that are holidays, but not Mondays that are holidays.

On the home page of this website, there is a category "Interested in Selling at Nova", if you click on that you will find the info you need and a Submission Form.

We have the art work and most of the locally handmade things in the store on a consignment basis. The rate is 60% of sales goes to the artist, and the commission for the gallery or shop is 40%. Once a month we pay out the artists and makers, mid month. We send your funds via e-transfer.

We have 8 security cameras in the store, strategically placed. We have all the small items close to the till, and under surveillance(like jewellery), and skincare products. Our staff is vigilant, and keeps track of what is in the store as they do routine cleaning. The rule is that it is up to the maker to insure their work for theft as consignment pieces are owned by the maker until sold, at which time the ownership transfers to the purchaser. We can only insure what we own. We do our upmost to be respectful of your work while it is with us, but in the case of damage or loss of any kind when we are at fault, we will work something out financially.

We keep evolving towards better solutions by trial and error. We started off entering it all in our Square Point of Sale, but that is laborious. At this time, for some things, we are moving towards keeping the inventory lists in a book, and entering things as they sell into Square. It is up to the artist to check in occasionaly to look at their stock and make sure everything is a -okay as far as matching to their sales. We do our best, but until we can hire someone to do just this task, we don't have the time. There are about 70 different artists and makers, and then there is the writers!
